PAYING UNION DUES
Union dues and pin amounts for journeyman are $40.90 andapprentices pay $39.90 each month. Effective June 1, 2018 Local 29 will no longer be accepting cashpayments per an International mandate for all Local Unions. You may pay your dues by: check, credit cardand by the auto dues check-off thru the Ironworkers Credit Union. In addition, Local 29 is working with theInternational on being able to make dues payments online.
The 2018 Ironworkerspicnic will be held Saturday, July 21st at the union hall beginning at 11 a.m.and ending at 4 p.m. The picnic is agreat event for our members and their families who have been enjoying it formany years. There will be lots of funprizes awarded to the winners of different games and competitions. If anyone would like to volunteer please contactShane Nehls at 503-774-0777.
IRONWORKERS GOLF TOURNAMENT
The 32nd Annual Ironworkers Golf Tournament willbe held at the Gresham Golf Course on Saturday, June 9, 2018. There will be a shot gun start at 12:00 p.m.and the green fee and cart rental are$75 per person until June 1st when it will change to $85 per person. If you would like to schedule a tee timeplease contact the Ironworkers Credit Union at 503-774-3848.
Effective July 1, 2018 a $2.00per hour increase has been negotiated in the Master Labor Agreement for Local29. The allocations are as follows:wages $.79, annuity $.55, apprenticeship $.01, health and welfare $.65.
Local 29 scholarship applications need to be received by theunion hall no later than September 30, 2018. (OVER)

The next retiree’s luncheon will be held at Local 29 on July11, 2018. Luncheons are held on thesecond Wednesday of every odd numbered month and are a wonderful opportunity tocatch up with fellow Ironworkers.
